Service Description

Research over the last 38 years indicates that participation in the MBSR program can help reduce stress, burnout, anxiety and worry, chronic pain, depression, sleep disturbance, and more. This course teaches you to cultivate a new relationship with life’s challenges and discover new coping pathways leading to improved well-being. Mindfulness helps you access your inner resources, wisdom, and innate human ability to apply non-judgmental present-moment awareness to your current situation, which has been shown to impact our lives and relationships positively. This course is offered virtually for 2 hours a week across eight weeks and one virtual retreat event. What can you expect? * The course is experiential: 22 hours of live, guided instruction in meditation practices * Meditation + mindful movement and gentle stretching * Inquiry exercises to enhance awareness in daily life * Practical coping skills to improve the ability to handle stressful situations * Home practice assignments * Guided audio for home practice and handouts Note: You must attend MBSR Information Session (taking place on January 3, 2024) prior to registering for the 8-week class.
