Service Description

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an 8-week program for people who want to respond to stress with greater awareness, balance, and resilience. Whether you're navigating a demanding career, chronic stress, anxiety, or the pressures of performing at a high level, MBSR offers practical tools for developing a more compassionate and intentional relationship with your thoughts, emotions, and everyday experiences. Research has shown that participation in MBSR can help reduce perceived stress, anxiety, depression, and pain, while supporting emotional well-being, resilience, and more intentional responses to challenging situations. Through guided meditation, mindfulness exercises, inquiry-based discussions, and home practice, participants learn skills they can integrate into both their personal and professional lives. The course meets weekly for 2.5 hours over 8 weeks and incorporates a daylong retreat between classes 6 and 7. The course fee is $625 (early bird: $550) and includes guided meditation recordings, course guidebook, and the retreat. Limited sliding-scale rates of $525 are available for those experiencing financial constraints. Note: MBSR is an educational and skills-based program and is not a substitute for individual psychotherapy or other mental health treatment. Attendance at the free MBSR Information Session on January 12 is required to enroll.
