Below are answers to common questions about mindfulness-based psychotherapy, including fees, insurance, virtual therapy, and what to expect when getting started.

How do I get started?

​

Contact me to schedule a 15-minute phone consultation. During our initial conversation, I’ll answer any questions you have about the therapy process and mindfulness-based psychotherapy approach, and share logistics, including scheduling and payment information.

What are the session fees?​

​

$225 for a 50-minute session (option of a sliding scale on an as-needed basis).

Please inquire about in-network insurance plans

 

You may be eligible for partial reimbursement out-of-network through your insurance company. It is important to check with your carrier before scheduling an appointment. Please ask the following questions to understand your coverage:

  • Do I have coverage for out-of-network mental health services?

  • If so, do I have a deductible?

  • What percentage of the session fee is reimbursable?

  • How many sessions are covered per year?

​

I'll provide a detailed invoice "superbill" to assist with reimbursement

​

How many therapy sessions should I expect?

​

The number of sessions varies based on your individual needs. Some people benefit from as few as eight to ten sessions, while others may require ongoing support for longer periods. Sessions typically start on a weekly basis. 
 

Do you offer therapy virtually?

 

Yes. I offer virtual therapy sessions for eligible clients. Please inquire for more details about telehealth options.
